Now we have all heard of green tea and its benefits, so here’s a bit more conviction if you still needed it. Green Tea is loaded with compounds called catechins that do amazing things like increasing the metabolism, speeding up the release of fat from the fat cells in your body, and increasing the fat burning ability of the liver. Research was conducted to compare green tea drinkers (four to five cups a day) and non-drinkers. Both were asked to exercise about half an hour a day and the results showed that green tea drinkers actually lost 2 pounds or about 1 kg more than the others each week.
